- Tombstone Poker
Tombstone Poker (or "Tombstone Hold 'em") is an alternate reality game that was created as a promotion for the video game GUN. The rules are similar to normal
poker , but uses tombstones instead of cards. The "suit" of each tombstone is determined by its shape, and the "value" of the tombstone is determined by the last digit of the date of death. Players play in teams of two, and each team has two minutes to find the best "hand", by touching all of the tombstones in that hand and each other simultaneously. When time is up, the teams report on the best hand they found, and the team with the best hand wins once they prove the hand is possible.A large game of Tombstone Poker with about 100 players was organized on Saturday,
October 15 ,2005 inColma, California as a promotion for the video gameGUN . Subsequent promotional events are scheduled to take place in Washington DC,Kansas City ,Atlanta ,New York City ,Los Angeles , and other locations across the United States.External links
