Alaska Communications Systems, (or ACS) is a telecommunications corporation, headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. It is notable for being the only telecommunications provider in the state of Alaska to maintain a third-generation wireless network and the only provider in Alaska that owns fully incorporated infrastructure for the major telecommunications platforms; local phone service, long distance phone service, Internet networking, and wireless communications. In addition to these services, ACS provides satellite television services through a partnership with DISH Network and dial-up internet access.
