Paco Peña (born 1st June 1942) is a Spanish
flamenco guitarist.Born inCórdoba, Spain as Francisco Peña Pérez, he began learning to play theguitar at age 6 and made his first professional appearance at age 12. In the late 1960s he moved toLondon . Peña was soon touring the world both as a soloist and an accompanist with performances atCarnegie Hall inNew York City , theRoyal Albert Hall inLondon and theConcertgebouw inAmsterdam . He founded the world's firstuniversity course on flamenco guitar, at the conservatory of music ofRotterdam .Peña is a good friend of classical guitarist, John Williams, and he was featured on a documentary of Williams, where he helps Williams play "Sevilla", written by
