In
1996 , Mr. Wintner co-founded CineComm Digital Cinema, which focused on digital cinema delivery of motion pictures to movie theatres around the world via satellite. CineComm became the first company to deliver a full-length, motion picture feature in digital format to a paying audience with the release of "".Since then, Mr. Wintner has moved on to leadership roles at Technicolor Digital Cinema (a subsidiary of
Technicolor ) and thenAccess Digital Media , the digital media division ofAccess Integrated Technologies , Inc. Mr. Wintner was initially hired by AccessIT as a consultant to design a business plan to bridge the company’s existing network of data centers into a new digital cinema business. During this time Mr. Wintner conceived of a fully automated digital media delivery system which the company branded e-Courier Express. In October/November 2004, AccessIT launched a successful IPO and named Mr. Wintner President and COO of the newly formed Digital Media subsidiary where Mr. Wintner continued to acquire companies and technologies to implement the digital media delivery business plan.Having succeeded in his mission at AccessIT, Mr. Wintner left fulltime employment to return to digital media consulting. At that time, AccessIT had won 35% of the market share for the delivery of Hollywood motion pictures and had successfully launched the first major financing plan for the installation of nearly 4000 digital cinema systems in theatres across the United States.
Today, Mr. Wintner continues as a consultant under the name [http://www.wintertekinc.com WinterTek, Inc.] His focus remains on start-up companies and new technologies in digital media ranging from cellular content delivery to 3D motion pictures.
