Wilton G. S. Sankawulo (born
1943 ) was the leader of Liberia from1 September 1995 until3 September 1996 as chairman of the "Council of State," which governedLiberia . The council functioned as the collective presidency of the second Liberia National Transitional Government. The first from March 1994 to September 1995 had been headed byDavid Kpomakpor . The council of state consisted of a civilian chair and members Charles Taylor, United Liberation Movement of Liberia for Democracy-K leaderAlhaji Kromah ,Liberia Peace Council leaderGeorge Boley , and two other civilians.
