United Liberation Movement of Liberia for Democracy-Kromah faction

The United Liberation Movement of Liberia for Democracy–Kromah faction (ULIMO-K) was a rebel group that was active during the Liberian Civil War.

Originally part of the United Liberation Movement of Liberia for Democracy (ULIMO), the group split into two factions in 1994: ULIMO-J, an ethnic Krahn faction led by General Roosevelt Johnson and ULIMO-Kromah faction, which was mainly Mandingo and led by Alhaji G.V. Kromah.

ULIMO-K was relatively united under Kromah, in contrast to the fractious nature of the ULIMO-J. It had approximately 12,000 combatants.

Members of both factions committed a number of human rights abuses, including the burning of villages, murder, rape, mutilation, and looting.
