Quinto Sol

Quinto Sol is a publishing company with goals concerning bringing Chicano literature to the forefront of American culture and uniting all Chicanos in the United States. It was founded in 1967 by Octavio I. Romano and, from 1970-1972, offered the Premio Quinto Sol literary prize--to Tomás Rivera, Rudolfo Anaya, and Rolando Hinojosa--each of whom is now considered a major literary voice. [Cyrus R.K.
