December 7 ,1979 inAthens ) is a Greek football player. He plays as astriker , and has recently signed forPanionios having been released by Inter Milan. He is 177cm tall, and weighs about 75 kg.Early Years and Olympiakos
Choutos started his career playing for
A.S. Roma at the age of 16, but he has often been injured and so he has never shown all the potential talent that he had already shown in youth teams. Lampros as a youth was playing for Asteras Polygonou. There he was discovered from the scouts ofPanathinaikos and immediately joinedPanathinaikos youth team. However, he did not spend there more than 2 years and his talent brought him toRome forA.S. Roma . Even so, his first professional club was in GreeceOlympiakos who took him on loan from Roma after some great games with the Greek U-21 national team, with whom he scored a record 15 goals in the qualifying rounds for the 2000 European U-21 Championship. In Olympiakos, under the direction of Italian coachAlberto Bigon he easily made his way in the first team where he formed a great tandem withZlatko Zahovic and Brazilian star Giovanni. Although he suffered from an injured knee, Choutos managed to score many decisive goals, making him one of the team's most popular players. He won the 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 championships titles with the Red and Whites before returning to Italy, notably to Internazionale.Inter Years
He signed 3 year contract with Inter in summer 2004, whpre he could not settle down and was constantly loaned to other minor teams as well as spending time in with the Personal traner Fabio Martella
Spain .He made his first competitive Inter debut in
Coppa Italia againstF.C. Messina Peloro ,November 9 ,2006 , replaceMariano Gonzalez in 78 min. This came after many years with Inter playing friendlies and being loaned out several times to teams includingRCD Mallorca where he had a poor relationship with oneHector Cuper . He finally left the obscurity of being owned by Inter at the end of the 2006-07 season.Panionios
Choutos made an impressive return, not only to Greek football, but once again being a regular in the starting 11. Having played only two games in the
Greece Super League he was given a start againstAEK Athens in theOAKA . He scored two of the three goals to sink AEK at home and won MVP for the game.
