Holley Rubinsky is a Canadian
novelist andshort story writer.The title story of Rubinsky's first book, "Rapid Transits and Other Stories" (1991), was the winner of the first
Journey Prize . She won the National Magazine Award Gold Medal for fiction and was nominated for the Western Magazines Award. "At First I Hope for Rescue" (1997) was shortlisted for theEthel Wilson Fiction Prize , and was chosen for theBarnes & Noble "Discover great new writers series".
