Kingsland Train Station

Kingsland Railway Station is on the Western Line of the Auckland railway network. It is near Eden Park, the major rugby stadium in Auckland. The station has a side platform layout and is reached from both New North Road & Sandringham Road. During rugby games this station becomes very busy, with thousands of supporters using it.

History

* 1880: It opened as one of the original stations on the North Auckland Line."Railway Stations of Auckland's Western Line" (2004) by Sean Millar]
* 1993: The platform was upgraded to meet the requirements of new ex-Perth trains.
* 2004: The station was rebuilt as part of the Western Line double-tracking project.
