The Lancer Society

Since its founding in 1934, The Lancer Society has been bringing the men of Whittier, California an opportunity for community service. The Lancer society seeks to instill the motive of service without the desire of reward in the men of Whittier College.

The Lancer Society hosts the two largest parties at Whittier College: Erotic City, now know as Adam & Eve and Mona Kai.

Mona Kai is a Hawaiian-themed party, held in a large tent in the amphitheater parking lot. The tent and surrounding area is transformed into an island paradise using tons of sand, palm fronds and bamboo. It was once ranked by Playboy as one of the top college parties in the nation and has had many corporate sponsors.

The Lancer Society is also responsible for gaining funds for the construction of the Lancer Memorial Chapel on the Whittier College campus.
