The station signed on the air on
August 8 1959 as KLIR and spent most of its life as MOR and as a Beautiful music outlet. ByJune 7 1984 it would switch to Adult Contemporary as KMJI but would later tweak its direction to Soft AC and change its calls to KXLT. By 1992 it would reclaim the KMJI calls and evolve to All-70's direction in 1994 (They would also pick up the KIMN calls by 1995). By 1997 they would return to AC (As "KIM 100.3"), and by 1999 would evolve into its current format and adopt the "Mix" moniker. The morning show is family-friendly and features Dom Testa & Jane London- The Dom & Jane Show which is regularly number 1 with adults 25-54. The weekends feature 80s music from Def Leppard to Madonna.Today
Mix 100.3 is a Hot Adult Contemporary station that broadcasts a variety of music from artists like Madonna, Kelly Clarkson, John Mayer and One Republic. The stations on-air talent includes the Mix Morning Show with Dom & Jane from 5-10 a.m, Hollywood Henderson follows from 10-1 p.m., LeAnne Sommers in the afternoons form 1-4 p.m., Ryan Seacrest's syndicated show airs from 4-7 p.m. and is followed by a syndicated show with John Tesh from 8-12 a.m. In June 2008, Mix began broadcasting the syndicated show "On-air with Ryan Seacrest." Mix also provides listeners with two extra stations in HD-2 Mix Loves the 80's which is all 80's and HD-3 Mix Plus which plays Contemporary Christian.

The call letters KIMN, originally belonged to a Denver AM station located at 950 on the dial. From the late 1950s to the 1980s KIMN was the dominant
Top 40 music station in Denver. The station also highlighted the popular localrock n' roll bands of that era, such as the "Astronauts", "Daniels", "Fogcutters", "Moonrakes", "Soul Survivors",and others.
