The fruits of "V. linsecumii" type tend to be larger, ranging from 10-25 mm compared to the 4-12 mm fruit of the "V. aestivalis". Seeds are often are larger with the "V. linsecumii" as well, ranging from 5-6 mm, as opposed to just 3-4 mm for the "V. aestivalis".A hybrid of two American species, "V. lincecumii" and "
