Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel is a casino located in Niagara Falls, New York and was built to compete with Casino Niagara and Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It was built on the site of the former Niagara Falls Convention and Civic Center.

The casino floor has an area of 147,000 ft² with 99 gaming tables and 4,200 slot machines.

It is the largest hotel in New York outside of Manhattan.

History

A 604 room 26-story hotel tower with a view of the Niagara Falls skyline, was completed in March 2006.

Restaurants & Cafes

*Thunder Falls Buffet - This is a buffet that serves a variety of cuisine. This restaurant opened in 2003 with the casino and was remodeled in early April 2007.

*The Western Door: A Seneca Steakhouse - This steakhouse opened in 2004.

*Three Sister's Cafe - A 24 hour restaurant that serves meals on a budget. This opened in 2006 with the hotel.

*Koi: "Asian Cuisine" - This Asian restaurant serves Asian cuisine "a la carte". This opened in 2006 with the hotel and was remodeled in January 2007.

*La Cascata: "Italian Bistro" - An Italian bistro that opened in 2006 with the hotel.

*Blues: "Down Home Restaurant & Bar" - replaced the former Hush night club. This Blues restaurant features a southern flair, along with traditional Buffalo foods such as chicken wings. It also features live music every Friday and Saturday night.

*Morrie's Express - A "downtown deli" that serves sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, gormet pasteries and coffees, and ice cream. Opened in 2006 with the hotel.

*The Java Cafe - a coffee shop in the casino. Opened in 2003.

*The Lobby Bar - a gathering place in the hotel lobby that sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Opened in 2006 with the hotel and was renovated in February 2007.

Retail

*The LOGO Shop - a shop featuring menswear. The LOGO Shop opened in 2003 in the casino wing but with the hotel addition in 2006 it was moved to the hotel wing. In late 2006 it was moved to the Sky Boutique location.

*Sky Boutique - offers a wide array of upscale native jewelry, designer handbags, accessories, women's apparel and much more. This opened in 2006 in the hotel lobby; it was later moved into the second LOGO Shop Location.

*Eight Clans Gift Shop - This is located in the casino lobby and it features Native American gifts such as dream catchers and native American jewelry.

*The Newsstand - a giftshop that has toiletries, magazines, candy, and newspapers. Opened in 2006 with the hotel.

*Player's Club Store - An electronics and technology store, opened in 2004 with the casino and only accepting COMP Points.

Entertainment

*Seneca Events Center - a convention/concert hall located on the second floor of the hotel. It opened in 2006.

*Bears Den Showroom - this which has 443 seats and features nationally-renowned performers; past shows include The Four Tops, Joan Jett, and Sinbad. This opened around 2005.

*Club 101 - A bandstand in the center of the casino floor.

*Rock The Falls - a free yearly event held in Seneca Square that musicians perform throughout the summer.

Past entertainment

*Hush - a high style nightclub that opened in late 2005 and was closed in early 2007.

Spa, Pool, and Fitness Center

On the third floor of the hotel there is a spa, pool, and fitness center that opened in mid 2006.

*The Spa - The Spa features six styling stations, four pedicure stations with deep-soaking bowls, six manicure stations, and a sauna.

*The Pool - The Pool features a hot tub, area for swimming laps, children's play area, and a cascading fountain.

*The Fitness Center - The Fitness center features exercise equipment and an area for yoga and other exercises.

Expansion

In February 2008, The Seneca Gaming Corp. announced the expansion of the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel Property. It will add more hotel rooms, and other amentities.Fact|date=April 2008

Other Properties

*Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel - This facility in Salamanca, New York features a casino, spa, six restaurants and a new hotel in 2007.

*Rey the Niagara Falls outdoor waterpark located next to the Seneca Niagara Casino has been bought by the Seneca Nation of Indians. It is currently being torn down for Phase 2 of expansion.

*Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino - In December 2006 construction has begun for the Seneca's newest casino in downtown Buffalo, New York.
