The airline was established on
7 August 2002 and started operations on19 August 2002 . It is no relation toManx Airlines which operated for many years prior to purchase byBritish Airways . It was established byAllan Keen , managing director of Isle of Man basedWoodgate Aviation . Corporate Jet Services and UK investors acquired EuroManx fully inSeptember 2004 .EuroManx initially operated with leased equipment includingBeech 1900 andATR 42 aircraft fromRossair and subsequentlyFokker F50 's fromDenim Air . EuroManx introduced their own aircraft during2005 with twoAvro RJ70 (EI-CPJ and EI-CPK), twoDornier 328 's (D-CMTM and D-CPRW), Bombardier Dash 8 Q200 (OE-HBB) and Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 (OE-HBC) aircraft.Fact|date=May 2007InJune 2005 , EuroManx successfully bought the passenger service ofEmerald Airways , another low cost carrier operating services fromLiverpool . These services were operated using an ATR leased fromAer Arann . Competition fromManx2 on their Belfast route increased withManx2 launching a 10 daily service. InOctober 2005 , prior to the arrival ofManx2 , EuroManx restructured its operation, shutting down all its scheduled international services exceptDublin , and eliminating domestic services toBristol ,Southampton ,Glasgow andLondon Stansted airports. Its RJ70 fleet was announced as retired, however both airframes continued flying until withdrawal inFebruary 2006 . At that time, EuroManx restructured again and withdrew from the Dublin route. TheDornier 328 and RJ70 fleets were withdrawn and operations continued with the remaining two Dash 8 aircraft.
