Pepper Lunch

Pepper Lunch(ペッパーランチ "Peppaa-ranchi") is a "fast-steak" restaurant franchise popular in the Tokyo area. There are over 200 restaurants in Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, the United States, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

Cooking method

Metal hot plates are heated to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 Celsius) by an electromagnetic cooker. Raw steaks (or chicken, hamburger, etc.) are then placed on the plates, where they cook in front of the customer. The meat can be eaten rare or well done, depending on the customer's preference; sauces and spices can be added as well.
