Silverdale School is located in Sheffield in the United Kingdom. It opened in 1957 as a Secondary Modern School, then became a Comprehensive School in 1969. It serves approximately one-thousand two-hundred pupils from the local area, from ages eleven to eighteen. Recent developments

The school has recently received a grant to rebuild the existing school building. The new building will be constructed on the school field and is scheduled to open in 2008, when the old building will be demolished. Work was late in starting however and only began on 26th March 2007.
