Henry Sproatt

Henry Sproatt

Henry Sproatt (June 14, 1866- October 4, 1934) was a Canadian architect in the early 20th Century. Born in Toronto, he trained in Europe and in New York. He formed a partnership with another celebrated architect, John A. Pearson in 1890 and with Frank Darling (architect) in 1893. Sproatt parted ways in 1899 and formed a new firm, Sproatt & Rolph.

He died in Toronto in 1934 and the firm (Sproatt and Rolph) continued under his son Charles Beverley Sproatt until 1970.
