Gargett is a town in east central Queensland, Australia, located convert|52|km|mi|0|lk=on from Mackay

The railway from Paget reached Gargett in 1902 [Recollections of the Netherdale Line Scott, Glen Australian Railway Historical Society Bulletin, February, 1992 pp27-41] . It was a busy station during the sugar crushing season.
