GSM mobile operator inNepal and is the first company to operate private GSM services intelecommunications sector of Nepal with the brand name “MERO MOBILE”. It broke the monopoly held by the state-owned telecommunications company,Nepal Telecom by building a new arena in cellular telephony services.Spice Nepal Private Ltd. was established in the year 2004 with the license issued by
Nepal Telecommunications Authority to operate GSM mobile services both Post-Paid and Pre-Paid in the country and commercially launched its services onSeptember 17 ,2005 in the capitalvalley and vicinity. Within the time span of 2 years of operation (since its commercial launch) SNPL has extended its services to different geographical areas of Nepal such as;Dhulikhel ,Banepa ,Nagarkot , Bharatpur inChitwan ,Hetauda ,Birgunj ,Simara ,Biratnagar ,Itahari ,Dharan ,Janakpur ,Nijgadh ,Rajbiraj ,Kakarbhitta ,Bhadrapur ,Pokhara ,Butwal ,Bardagath ,Bhairahawa ,Nepalgunj ,Surkhet ,Dhangadi andMahendra Nagar . 14 out of the 14zones of Nepal are covered with Mero Mobile.SNPL is gradually expanding its network coverage in various urban,
