Norma MacMillan (15 September 1921 – 16 March 2001) was a Canadian voice actor.

Norma MacMillan was a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was there that she met, worked with and married her producer/manager husband Thor Arngrim. Arngrim had started the now-legendary, but short-lived Totem Theatre company in 1951. Upon its demise in 1954, he, his partner Stuart Baker, and MacMillan set out for Toronto where Norma landed children-voice roles for CBC. After she and her husband moved to New York, MacMillan became the voice of "Casper the Friendly Ghost", "Gumby", "Sweet Polly Purebred" in the "Underdog" cartoons, "Davey" of "Davey & Goliath" and may others. In addition to these famous roles, MacMillan was the voice of John-John and Caroline Kennedy in the world record setting "The First Family" album of 1962. Her on screen work included numerous guest star roles on such television shows as: "Columbo", "She's The Sheriff", "Webster" and "thirtysomething". She appeared in the films, "Nightmare on the 13th Floor", "Big Business", (with Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler), "Love At Stake", "Dangerous Intentions", "Big Bully", (starring Tom Arnold), and "Mrs. Delafield Wants to Marry" with Katherine Hepburn.

She appeared in dozens of televison commercials but, perhaps her most visible acting role was the part she played in the 1980's as the sweet, demure, naive Aunt Martha opposite Ruth Manning's Aunt Harriet for Kraft Foods mayonnaise commercials. Though she died at the age of 79, she never stopped working. Even upon returning to Vancouver with her husband in the mid-1990's, MacMillan joined the Co-Op's Radio's Sunday show for senior citizens and was a board member of the local 411 Seniors Centre..

Family

MacMillan was the mother of Stefan Arngrim, who played Barry Lockridge on Land of the Giants, and Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie Oleson on Little House on the Prairie.

Death

She died at the age of 79 and was cremated Her ashes were scattered in the ocean, near the Strait of Juan De Fuca.
