Theodore J. St. Antoine is a
professor oflaw at theUniversity of Michigan Law School of which he was the Dean from 1971 to 1978.Theodore J. St. Antoine graduated from
Fordham College and theUniversity of Michigan Law School . He also spent a year at theUniversity of London as aFulbright Scholar . He began practicing law inCleveland , served a tour in the U.S. ArmyJAG Corps , and then specialized in labor law inWashington, D.C. Professor St. Antoine is known for his writing in the field of labor relations and labor law. He is an active arbitrator in union and management labor arbitration. He was President of the
National Academy of Arbitrators in 1999-2000.He was the official draftsperson for the
Model Employment Termination Act (META). He also authored a defense of that act, namely an article "The Model Employment Termination Act: A Fair Compromise", Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, Vol. 536, Employee Dismissal: Justice at Work (Nov., 1994), pp. 93-102 (article consists of 10 pages), Published by: Sage Publications, Inc. in association with the American Academy of Political and Social Science. In the past few years he has spent a great deal of time teaching labor relations and arbitration in Chinese universities, and even speaking about developing the labor law inChina . United Automobile Workers internal board of review, which is aUAW constitutional agency that provides redress for aggrieved union members.
