August 26 1957 Monterrey ,Nuevo León ,Mexico ) is a formercatcher Trevino played 13 seasons in the Major League's beginning with theNew York Mets for four seasons (1978-81 ), Next Trevino joined theCincinnati Reds (1982-83), for two full seasons before splitting the 1984 season between the Reds and theAtlanta Braves . Trevino then spent the next three years playing out west in California first with theSan Francisco Giants in (1985), then two years with theLos Angeles Dodgers (1986-87) .Trevino next joined theHouston Astros (1988-89). After to full seasons in Houston Trevino spent his last year in Major League baseball with three different teams. Trevino began the season in Houston then returned to the New York Mets for a time before finishing his career back in Cincinnati with the Reds in 1990.Alex Trevino is the younger brother of
Bobby Treviño .Alex saw playing time in the Minors leagues in 1988 with the Houston Astros triple "A" Affiliate the Tucson Toros of the Pacific Coast League
