Katherine, Crown Princess of Yugoslavia (née Batis) (born in Athens on 13 November 1943) is the wife of Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia.

Katherine was educated in Athens and Lausanne, Switzerland. She studied business at the University of Denver, Colorado and the University of Dallas, Texas. Princess Katherine worked in business for a few years in the United States.

On 25 November 1962, Katherine married Jack W. Andrews. From that marriage she has two children, David and Alison. Alison has four children: Amanda, Stephanie, Nicolas and Michael; David has a son, born 1 March, 2008. Princess Katherine has travelled extensively and has lived in Australia, Africa and the United States. Katherine and Jack Andrews got divorced on 7 December 1984.

Princess Katherine met HRH Crown Prince Alexander in Washington DC in 1984, and they were married in London on 21 September 1985. Their best man was HM King Constantine of the Hellenes, and the witness was HRH Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia, Crown Prince Alexander’s uncle.

Princess Katherine has dedicated much of her time to charitable activities since the conflict in the former Yugoslavia. She works in humanitarian relief, and is the patron of various humanitarian organizations including Lifeline Humanitarian Organization, SOS Appeal for Life and United Orthodox Aid. In 2001 she established The [http://www.pkfond.org Foundation of Her Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine] in Belgrade in order to expand her charitable works.

In 1991 Crown Prince Alexander famously travelled to Belgrade with Princess Katherine and his sons. They were enthusiastically greeted by hundreds of thousands of supporters, most of whom advocated making the Karadjordjevic family the head of a Constitutional Parliamentary Monarchy.

On 17 July 2001, after the democratic revolution in Serbia, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Hereditary Prince Peter, Prince Philip, and Prince Alexander took up residence in The Royal Palace in Belgrade.

Katherine speaks Greek, English, French, some Spanish, and is studying Serbian. She enjoys music, reading, cooking, theatre and cross-country skiing.
