ION Television affiliate inLouisville, Kentucky . It is owned by Word Broadcasting Network, Inc., an arm of Evangel World Prayer Center in Louisville. Its transmitter is located nearShepherdsville, Kentucky .The station signed on in the late 1980s as an independent station offering mostly religious programs and old movies. It was Louisville's original WB affiliate in
1995 , but frequently preempted The WB's racier programming. The station, seeking more family friendly programming, decided to drop the WB affiliation and go with the new family oriented PAX network that launched in1998 . Pax is now known as the ION Television network.External links
