- Cycling advocacy
-
Cycling advocacy consists of activities that provide greater safety, comfort, and convenience for bicyclists by educating cyclists and motorists, improving road quality on bike routes, establishing more and better bicycle parking, providing legal protections for cyclists by including cycling interests in new legislation, and increasing public and political support for bicycling.[1] There are many organizations whose primary mission is to advocate for these goals. Most are non-profit organizations supported by donations, membership dues, and volunteers.[2] [3]
