Democratic and Independent Cape Verdean Union

The Democratic and Independent Cape Verdean Union (Portuguese: União Caboverdiana Independente e Democrática) is a Center-right conservative political party in Cape Verde.

At the election held on 14 January 2001, the party was part of the Democratic Alliance for Change (ADM) coalition. The ADM won 6.12% of the vote and two seats in the National Assembly. Jorge Carlos Fonseca, the candidate of the alliance in the February 2001 presidential election, won 3.9% of the vote.

In the legislative election held on 22 January 2006, the party won 2.64% of the popular vote and 2 out of 72 seats in the National Assembly.
