Evert Ploeg

Evert Ploeg (pronEng|eɪvɜrt plaʊ) (born 1963 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian portrait painter.

Archibald Prize

In 1999, Ploeg's painting of actress Deborah Mailman painted on wool bales was hung in the Archibald Prize, and won the People's Choice Award. He won the Packing Room Award in 2004, with a portrait of Jana Wendt. He has also entered paintings to the Archibald Prize of singer Ben Lee, fashion identity Peter Morrissey and actor Richard Roxburgh
