- Arikaree River
The Arikaree River is a
tributary of the North Fork of the Republican River that flows mostly east out of theState of Colorado in theUnited States . In its lowest reach it flows for about 5 kilometers (3 miles) through the extreme northwestern corner of theState of Kansas and for about 16 kilometers (10 miles) through the southwestern portion of theState of Nebraska to its mouth near the town of Haigler where it joins the North Fork of the Republican River.The river is named for the
Arikara group of Native Americans.
