Bandstand Promenade

The Bandstand Promenade is a kilometer long walkway along the sea on the west side of Bandra, a suburb of Mumbai, India. Less than a decade old, it is simultaneously a popular hang out spot, a jogging track and a park.

The promenade starts from St.Andrew's Church and ends at Lands End -- which it literally is -- a protrusion of land surrounded by the sea.

Visible along the promenade are expensive bungalows and flats, some of which belong to Bollywood movie stars like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, John Abraham, Shabana Azmi, Rekha among others.

Famous Eateries

Also Bandra Bandstand is famous for its various shops and old bakerys. One of it is J.Hersch & Co located approximately 50 meters before the beginning of the seaface. Its a small bakery but extremely famous. But the best bakery products are from A-1 Bakery stores facing J.Hersch & Co. Bandra literally lives on bakery products from A-1.

Mount Mary Church

There is a small walkway from the bandstand to go to the Mount Mary Church, which is at the top of the hill. It has fantastic view of Mahim Creek.
