Irish drinking song

Irish drinking song

Irish drinking song can refer to:
* A genre of traditional Irish songs (for example, Seven Drunken Nights).
* The title of a song by the ska band Buck-O-Nine from the album "Songs In The Key Of Bree", commonly misattributed to Flogging Molly or the Dropkick Murphys as "Drink and Fight". This song features the refrain "We'll drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and drink and fight. Hey!" Another song called "Irish Drinking Song", featuring humorous Irish-related deaths, is by a cappella group Da Vinci's Notebook. It was performed, amongst other places, on the Bob and Tom Show.
* "The Irish Drinking Song" is also a popular song by Australian band, Man Bites God, about (amongst other things) Australians on Contiki tours and cross-dressers.
* A game structure used in improvisational comedy, where lyrics are improvised upon traditional chords (most notable the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?").
