Simbad=tau8+serTau8 Serpentis (Tau8 Ser / τ8 Serpentis / τ8 Ser) is an A-type
main sequence star in theconstellation of Serpens, approximately 320light-years from theEarth . It has anapparent visual magnitude of approximately 6.144. Although it was observed to be binary byspeckle interferometry in 1985, subsequent observations show no sign of binarity, and the detection appears to have been spurious.
