*ACDSee 32 was the original image viewing and organizing program, released as version 1.0 in January 1997. Version 2.42 was rebranded ACDSee Classic in March 2000. No longer supported.Criticism
ACDSee has faced criticism because Section 2.7 of its
EULA ("Use Restrictions"), forbids the use of the software to displaypornography , among other things.Since version 7, the agreement has included a clause stating:"Use Restrictions - You shall use this Software in compliance with all applicable laws and not for any unlawful purpose. Without limiting the foregoing, Use, display or distribution of this Software together with material that is pornographic, racist, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, libelous, abusive, promoting hatred, discriminating or displaying prejudice based on religion, ethnic heritage, race, sexual orientation or age is strictly prohibited."]
