Heworth is 4 km (2¾ miles) south east of
Newcastle Central with an hourly service Monday to Saturdays westbound to Newcastle (and beyond) and eastbound to Sunderland and Middlesbrough.On Sundays there is an hourly service in each direction (two-hourly to Middlesbrough).
