Two major airlines (Northwest Airlines and American Eagle) provide eleven daily departures, direct service to two cities, and connections to any destination in the world. Additionally, Sun Country Airlines provides periodic scheduled charter services to
Laughlin, Nevada .In 2004, the airport served about half a million passengers and recorded 44,000 aircraft operations. Eighty-eight aircraft are based at the airport. Eleven large corporate hangars and eight multi-aircraft T-hangars are also located on the airport property. Infrastructure wise, the La Crosse Airport can accommodate the largest aircraft in service today.
The airport today sits on 1,380 acres of land. The original runway layout is still in use, but many improvements have taken place over the course of time. Two of the runways have seen expansion to 8,537 feet and 6,050 feet. At 8,537 feet, La Crosse Airport has the fourth longest runway in the State of Wisconsin. Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay in that order are longer.
