Hokkoku Bank

) is a Japanese bank that is headquartered in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture, Japan. The term “Hokkoku” refers to a greater region in Japan that is more commonly known as Hokuriku, and encompasses Fukui, Ishikawa, and Toyama prefectures. While Hokkoku Bank is focused in Ishikawa prefecture, it has offices in the other two prefectures in the Hokuriku Region, as well as offices in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and a representative office in Shanghai, China.

History

The Hokkoku Bank was established on December 18, 1943 from merger with three other regional banks from Ishikawa prefecture. The bank started handling foreign exchange in 1961.
