While media outside North Korea reported on Kim's disqualification, the
Korean Central News Agency did not report on the incident. [ [http://www.kcna.co.jp/item/2008/200808/news08/15.htm#7 KCNA - DPRK Players Prove Successful at Olympiad] 15 August 2008] On August 15, the day when Kim Jong Su officially had his medals revoked, the KCNA reported:Kim Jong Su placed second in the men's 50 meter free pistol and third in the men's 10 meter air pistol.
All news reports since August 15 also have no mention of Kim's disqualification. Thus it is likely most people within North Korea are unaware of the incident.
