CBC Radio Overnight

"CBC Radio Overnight" is a Canadian radio program, which airs nightly on CBC Radio One from 1 a.m. to 5:30 or 6 a.m. (depending on the station).

The program, hosted by Cathy Haag [ [http://origin.www.cbc.ca/programguide/personality/index.jsp?personality=Haag%2C+Cathy&program=CBC+Radio+Overnight CBC Cathy Haag profile] ] weeknights and Pat Philpod on weekends, presents a variety of information programs from national broadcasters around the world, sourced from the World Radio Network. At the top of each hour, a regular CBC news update is aired, lasting five minutes.

The program premiered on May 1, 1995. Prior to its launch, the network signed off the air during the overnight hours.
