Kravaře (IPA2|ˈkravar̝ɛ) is a town in Silesia in the Czech Republic. It has 6,650 inhabitants. It's located between Ostrava (20 km) and Opava (10 km). It is part of micro-region Hlučínsko.

History of the town

The first news about Kravaře are from year 1224. For centuries Kravaře was only a village, it gained town status in 1960.

Sport

There is an ice-hockey venue Buly Aréna, which was opened in 2003.
