Bobby Graham (footballer) "Bobby Graham (born Robert Francis Neate on
March 11 1940 atNorth Middlesex Hospital ,Silver Street ,Edmonton ,North London ,England ) is a session drummer.Graham insist that he was chosen by Brian Epstein when it was decided to remove Pete Best from
The Beatles .Fact|date=August 2008 Bobby claims that he turned Epstein down as he was then the drummer for a much more successful band, Joe Brown and The Bruvvers, and so Epstein instead choseRingo Starr .Fact|date=August 2008In spite of this claim, there is no other source (other than that of Grahams) that is supported. Every major Beatles reference states the decision to have been partly based on George Martin's insistence not use Best, and partly upon the other three Beatles being unsatisfied with the drumming ability of Pete Best. The Beatles had worked with Ringo Starr, and it would seem that he (Starr) was their primary, if not only, choice for replacement.
Graham has also toured the UK as drummer in his own
jazz band .essionography
