Lois Kibbee

Lois Kibbee (July 13, 1922 — October 18, 1993) was an American actress.

Kibbee was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The daughter of actor Mliton Kibbee and the niece of actor Guy Kibbee, Lois is best remembered for her role of Geraldine Weldon Whitney Saxon on "The Edge of Night" from 1970-71 and 1973-84. In the interim, she portrayed the role of Emily Moore Matson on "Somerset" from 1972-73, and later in her career as Elizabeth Sanders on "One Life to Live" from 1986-88. She also had a role in the film "Caddyshack" as Mrs. Smails. Kibbee died of a brain tumor on October 18, 1993, in New York City.

Kibbee was also a writer on "The Edge of Night".

Awards & Nominations

Kibbee was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role in a Daytime Drama Series in 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1984 and Outstanding Writing Team in 1982 with Henry Slesar.
