Lori Lansens

Lori Lansens

Lori Lansens is a Canadian novelist and screenwriter.

She was born and raised in Chatham, Ontario, a city with ties to the Underground Railroad, which is indirectly referred to in Lansens' first novel "Rush Home Road" (2002) and directly referenced in her second novel "The Girls" (2005).

Lansens' film credits include "South of Wawa" (1991), "Marine Life" (2000) and "Wolf Girl" (2001).

"Rush Home Road" was nominated for the 2003 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book.

"The Girls", a story of a pair of conjoined twins narrated by the twins themselves, was nominated for the Richard & Judy Book of the Year Award in 2007.
