1988 .Riggs made his debut on
January 5 1988 , losing a to Steve "Broken Feather" Damon, by KO in 1. A month later, onFebruary 12 , he fought lighthitting Norwegian prospectTerje Svenn who beat Riggs by a unanimous decision. In his next bout, Riggs would be beaten by Michael Moorer on Moorer's professional debut. Moorer took out Riggs in the first round onMarch 4 in front of a national cable audience. Moorer would go on to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, defeating Evander Holyfield.Taking five months off to put himself togteher, Riggs fought David Acosta on
August 6 . While Acosta had lost only a week before, he had enough left over to defeat Riggs who was now 0-4. But Adrian Riggs refused to give up. OnSeptember 2 , Riggs was destroyed by fellow Svenn victimTimothy Davis by a unanimous decision. Davis had already proven his toughness by beating Damon. Neither man would ever win a fight again. In his next fight, onNovember 10 , Riggs lost to southpawBomani Parker in a unanimous decision. Having lost this fight to slip to 0-6, Riggs seemed content to retire.However,
April 8 1994 , Riggs made his return to the ring only to be knocked out in four rounds inCape Coral ,Florida by Artis "The Madboxer" Pendergrass who would later become a leading heavyweight journeyman.Riggs retired with a record of 0 wins, 7 losses and 0 knockouts.
