Blitzkriegbliss

"Blitzkriegbliss" is a hard rock (self described as post-punk no/new wave female-fronted rock) band formed in Boston in the early 2000s. They are known for their superb live performances and for creating music that does not wear its influences on its sleeve. The name is a compound of Blitzkrieg (German for "lightning war") and bliss and is therefore at least somewhat of an oxymoron.

They had a college-radio hit in early 2005 with their cover of Tom Waits' "Goin' Out West" which appears on his Bone Machine album.

Members

The band originally consisted of: Sophia Cacciola (vocals, guitar), Michael J. Epstein (bass), and David T. Little (drums). Little left the band after the recording of their first album and was replaced by a set of drummers with rapid turnovers. Drummer Earl Yi joined in early 2006 and the band has since recorded an ep soundtrack containing 4 new songs for the Slave Parasite comic by Garrett Adderly.
