Riverstone is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the
Australia n state ofNew South Wales .It is a 94.30 km² urban and semi-rural electorate inSydney 's north west, taking in the suburbs of Stanhope Gardens, Rouse Hill and Riverstone. There were 44,405 electors enrolled in the district as of the 1999 state election.Much of the electorate is situated in the growing north-west sector which has been poorly served in transport, health and police resources. A changing demographic towards the eastern side of the electorate (Glenwood, Stanhope Gardens, Kellyville Ridge, Rouse Hill) may push the Labor seat to a Liberal one.
