Aurskog-Høland is a municipality in the county of Akershus,
Norway . It is the biggest municipality in Akershus, covering 967 km².The new municipality Aurskog-Høland was created January 1, 1966 - after the merger of the four old municipalities of
Aurskog ,Nordre Høland ,Søndre Høland andSetskog .Geography
Main villages are
Aurskog andBjørkelangen , of which the latter one is the administrative center. Wood covers the lot of the area, but there is very good farmland as well. The rivers Haldenvassdraget and Hølandselva run through the district.Economy
