Seka Aleksić was born to a
Bosnian Serb father, Milorad and a Bosniak mother, Ibrima. She was raised with her younger brother, Nedžad (Nećko). Her parents later divorced and she continued living with her mother. When the war broke out, Seka and her family moved toBanja Koviljača ,Serbia and laterŠabac . She started out singingCeca 's songs in cafés before she became famous. She moved to Switzerland for 2 years to boost her career in clubs and discotheques. After Switzerland she moved to Bijeljina and performed at a festival inCuprija , where she also found her future husband. However, after a short while, Seka and her husband divorced, but soon after she found a new boyfriend and manager, Zoran. At the beginning, as afolk-diaspora singer , she had difficulty finding gigs around the EU countries, especially Sweden, because of her Serbian background. Nowadays, because of her popularity, Seka can be seen in many major EU cities.Seka also had an important role in the
