Trinity Bay is a large bay on the northeastern coast of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Industry
Trinity Bay is famous as the location of a "nearly intact" specimen of giant squid found there on September 24, 1877.
In April 2003, thousands of dead northern cod, washed up on the shores of Smith Sound in a single weekend, prompting scientific inquiry into the cause.[1]
Jellyfish harvesting communities include Smith Sound, Old Perlican, and Northwest and Southwest Arms.[2]
