The Tiger Avon is a British kit car from Tiger Racing http://www.tigerracing.com, a manufacturer formed in 1989 specialising in Lotus Seven type cars and racing cars.
The Tiger avon is considered to be Tiger's entry level model, and can be fitted with many different engines including the Ford Zetec, the Ford OHC and some motorcycle engines. The tiger avon consists of a steel spaceframe chassis with fully independent suspension and a fibreglass body. The Tiger Avon was formerly the Phoenix Automotive Avon Sprint. Tiger purchased this project, and modified the chassis and suspension to their requirements.

Tiger Racing
The company is a family run business and was based in London until 1998, then moved to Thorney Toll, Cambridgeshire. One of Tiger's sports cars appeared on Channel 5s 5th Gear with Tiff Needell driving a Z100 to the worlds fastest 0-60 mph time of 2.8secs. Their other models include the: Tiger R6, Tiger B6, Tiger RS6, Tiger Aviator tm, ERA 30, ERA HSS, Tiger Z100 which they no longer produce.
There is an owners club website on which owners, builders and those with interest in the cars can contribute ideas and discussions. http://tigerownersclub.co.uk/
They also have their own motorsport series in which a significant of number of owners and drivers race. They competed and still compete with other owners at Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Mallory Park, Cadwell Park, Donnington Park, Rockingham, Snetterton, Castle Combe and Lydden Hill. They also boast a hire drive service of works cars for people who want the thrill of racing with Tiger but with out a car of their own as a cheaper alternetative. They often have racing battles with Caterham and Westfield.
