Sarah Cruddas (born c. 1984, Wales) is a TV weather presenter on BBC Look North (Leeds and Hull).

Early life

Sarah grew up in East Yorkshire, gaining A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry and winning the Young Scientist 2000 Awards - where she represented England at NASA's International Space Camp. Sarah has a degree in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Leicester. The University of Leicester is well regarded for its space science work, and contributed heavily to the National Space Centre.

Career

Sarah started her career as a Broadcast Journalist working for BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and BBC Hereford & Worcester later working for BBC Radio 1Xtra and presenting news bulletins on TalkSport.[1]

She started working on the Look North programme in July 2008 as a Weather Presenter, and now works as a Science Reporter for the programme. Recently Sarah has been working elsewhere in the BBC as a Science Reporter for BBC Radio Five Live, developing national science shows for BBC 4 and BBC 2 and later this year will be seen as a presenter on 'Coast'. Sarah also works in science outreach.

She is part of the BBC team covering the final Space Shuttle launch at NASA.

She can also be heard on BBC Radio Humberside, BBC Lincolnshire, BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio York[2][3]
